Design bank assignment– make an event poster

After seeing the poster on the window of her grocery store, Kylie was quick to check her calendar to see if she could make it. The poster was for a picnic next to one of the infamous Moai of Easter Island, where Kylie had moved to a few weeks prior. She had yet to make any friends, so she knew this would be a great opportunity to get to know the locals of the island. Thankfully she was free to go to the picnic, and so she spent the rest of her evening brainstorming what food to bring.

On the day of the picnic, Kylie heads out the door of her home with a basket in hand. She had decided on making tuna empanadas, hoping that others would enjoy them and sit with her on a picnic blanket. She arrived at the sight, where people had laid countless blankets around the platform that the moai stood on. She neatly arranged her blanket in a similar fashion, setting down her things before wandering around and offering people her tuna empanadas.

Kylie eventually approached a girl around her age, sitting alone on a multicolored blanket. The girl happily accepted and even invited Kylie to sit with her while they shared a meal. Her name was Maria, and she had been living on the island for the past year. The two girls ended up exchanging contact information, defining this picnic adventure as a success! Kylie had made a new friend on the island.
